Vaccines for Children (VFC) participants can now order flu vaccines in Florida SHOTS. Please keep in mind that you will need to contact the VFC Program if you did not pre-book or would like to order more doses than the quantity listed on the ‘Doses Available’ column. Our guide will take you step by step on how to submit order and is also available in Spanish.
Vaccines for Children (VFC) participants can access the Shots Recorded Report that provides a list of vaccinations recorded corresponding to the VFC PIN for specified date range. This report used on an ongoing basis can assist in ensuring that VFC vaccines are accounted for in Florida SHOTS and avoid inventory discrepancies. Our guide will take you step by step on how to generate and can access HERE.
Vaccines for Children (VFC) and Vaccines for Adult (VFA) Program participants are now able to pre-book their flu vaccines in Florida SHOTS for the 2020-2021 season. Only the Enrollee, Primary Coordinator, or Back-up Coordinator are able to enter the pre-book information into Florida SHOTS.
This month we will focus on using Florida SHOTS to assess immunization coverage levels for your patients. Whether you want to review how well you did during the recent "back-to-school rush" or are a Vaccine for Children (VFC) participant and want to track the up-to-date percentages for all the necessary childhood and adolescent vaccinations. Topics include creating an Assessment File, personalized assessments, Survey Report, Summary Report, and AFIX Report.

Did you know that you can increase or decrease the number of vaccine doses on your regularly scheduled VFC vaccine order request? Make sure to review the “Projected Doses” on your “Doses Requested and Approved” page. This number is automatically calculated based on the number of doses you administered and how many you have left on hand, but there may be times when you need more than is projected—like back-to-school rush or other events. You can change the quantity in the “Doses Requested” field and the VFC office will review and determine if it’s approved.
Accurately maintaining your VFC inventory is vital to your participation in the program. During our live webinars this month, we will demonstrate how to generate the “Aging Vaccine Report” to identify vaccines that have expired or will be expiring, and reporting wasted and returned vaccines (including expired flu doses). We will also discuss the most common errors that can cause discrepancies with the “Shots Recorded” totals. Click below to register!
