2024 VFC Annual Reenrollment Training

The 2024 Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program Annual Provider Staff Training will consist of two of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) “You Call the Shots” interactive, web-based training courses. The enrollee, primary VFC coordinator, and back-up coordinator must each complete both trainings individually. Access instructions on how to complete. Also available in Spanish.

New Refrigerated Pfizer 12y+ COVID-19 Vaccine

The Comirnaty 12+ vaccine with NDC 00069-2362-10 for the single dose vials has been replaced with the NDC 00069-2377-10 which a carton of 10 manufacturer-filled syringes. See below for the new storage and handling instructions:This new presentation MUST BE STORED BETWEEN 2°C and 8°C (36°F and 46°F). Do NOT store at ultra-cold or standard freezer temperatures.These manufacturer-filled syringes can be used through the expiration date printed on the carton. The 10-week beyond-use date (BUD) for refrigerator storage does not apply.This guidance applies to this presentation ONLY. Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines for children aged 6m-4y and 5-11y, which are shipped to providers in CDCs programs directly from Pfizer on dry ice and can be stored at either at ultracold temperatures until expiry or up to 10 weeks at 2-8°C.

2023 Holiday VFC Vaccine Shipping and Ordering Schedule

Holiday Vaccine Shipping and Ordering: Orders placed after Friday, December 8, 2023 may not be shipped prior to January 2, 2024.Vaccines will be shipped up to December 19, 2023. Vaccines will not be shipped from December 20, 2023 through January 1, 2024. Regular vaccine shipments will resume on January 2, 2024.Report Shipping Issues ImmediatelyShipping issues must be reported on the day they occur.Contact the helpdesk at 1-877-888-7468, Option 1 then Option 2.If issues occur on a day the helpdesk is closed, you must report them to McKesson, Merck or Pfizer, depending on where the shipment came from.
