Capacity Declaration
The Florida Department of Health declares that the statewide immunization information system, Florida SHOTS, is fully capable and ready to accept immunization data and respond to queries based on CDC HL7 version 2.5.1 Implementation Guide for Immunization Messaging, Release 1.5 Promoting Interoperability in accordance with the requirements of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Program.
Steps to Complete the Promoting Interoperability Registration:
Health care provider personnel who are designated Florida SHOTS "Local Org Administrators" can now register within Florida SHOTS. Providers attesting for these programs must demonstrate bi-directional exchange with query/response (QBP/RSP message) capability as well as the submission of VXU messages consistent with CDC's 2.5.1 release 1.5 version of the HL7 Implementation Guide for immunization messaging.
Complete the steps that follow to register for Promoting Interoperability within Florida SHOTS. You must register even if you have previously registered for Meaningful Use Stages 1, 2, or 3.
Do not complete Interoperability registration if immunizations are not administered by your organization.
