National Immunization Awareness Month
August is National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM) and it’s a perfect opportunity to get patients on track with their vaccines and protect them from vaccine preventable diseases. Access CDC educational resources for patients and parents about the benefits of vaccinations, for healthcare professionals to have successful vaccine conversations with parents and patients.
LIVE Webinar: Florida SHOTS Account Maintenance Overview
Each organization enrolled with Florida SHOTS has at least one user designated as a Local Organization Administrator (LOA) to manage their account. During this webinar, we will review the various features that LOAs have access to and ensure their Florida SHOTS account is up-to-date! Topics include unlocking a patient record, managing your Personnel List (adding/ending/unlocking user access) and setting Vaccines for Children (VFC) permissions. Adding Records for Multiple Births
Twins? Triplets? Or more? When adding these new records, make sure to mark ‘Birth Event Outcome” and “Birth Order" on the Patient Identification screen. We are seeing a large number of multiple births being erroneously merged and it is very difficult to unmerge these types of records. To prevent problems, remember to enter birth outcome and order when a record is created!
