  • Ready for School? Check Those Vaccine Records.

The Immunization Status page within the Florida SHOTS patient record is a great tool to verify that your patient is up-to-date with their immunizations. The status is patient-specific and based on the ACIP recommendations and vaccines that have been entered into the patient record. This page also helps you determine which vaccine series are incomplete and the possible vaccines that can be administered.

  • Preteens and Teens: Ensure a Healthy Future with Vaccines!

During your back-to-school appointments, make sure your preteen and teen patients are getting these four vaccines to protect against serious diseases:

    • Meningococcal conjugate vaccine to protect against meningitis and blood infections (septicemia).
    • HPV (human papilloma virus) vaccine to protect against cancers caused by HPV.
    • Tdap vaccine to protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and whooping cough (pertussis).
    • A yearly flu vaccine to protect against seasonal flu.

Teens and young adults may also be vaccinated with a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine. Check the childhood immunization schedule for all recommended vaccines for preteens and teens HERE. #NIAM
