  • A Better Way to Learn: Interactive WBT Launch

Florida SHOTS is always looking for ways to make training easier and more convenient. Now registered Florida SHOTS users can get the web-based training (WBT) they need, whenever they need it. Whether you are a newly enrolled office or just need refresher training to stay up-to-date on the latest registry tools, our newly overhauled WBT has you covered.

Florida SHOTS users can access the training platform at https://www.flshots.com/wbt/selection.html or after logging in at www.flshots.com. In the registry, click the option for web-based training in the side menu under “Customer Support” to get started. Note: If you have trouble accessing the new modules, you may need to clear your browser history, particularly if you had previously used the older version of the WBT.

The WBT landing page shows links for three different types of Florida SHOTS users. Click the link that matches your organization: Private Provider, Private Provider (VFC), or County Health Department.

After you make your selection, you’ll see a complete list of training modules covering everything from adding vaccinations to reminder/recall to assessing immunization levels at your practice. Each module takes between 15 and 20 minutes to complete and features narrated, step-by-step instructions that walk you through topics. The modules are interactive, allowing you to practice what you are learning as you go. Self-assessment questions in the modules further enhance your ability to use Florida SHOTS in your clinical practice.

We are excited about our revamped web-based training platform, and we think you will be, too. It’s the newest, easiest way to train at your pace, on your schedule.

  • Are Schools and Child-Care Centers Able to Verify Shot Records Online?

Florida SHOTS certified electronic signature DH Form 680 is available and accessible to any school or licensed child-care center enrolled in Florida SHOTS. By Administrative Rule 64D-3.046, F.A.C., facilities can accept electronically certified 680s from their students.

Schools and child-care centers can also search and print certified form 680s without the extra step of having to contact doctors’ offices or parents for missing records.

If you are a school or child-care center looking for more information about your Florida SHOTS access, download “Quick Tips for View-Only Accounts” in English or Spanish.
